Taverna Rossini (Rome)

Taverna Rossini (Rome)

In the heart of the Parioli district overlooking Piazza Ungheria, the Taverna Rossigni is a smart meeting place to taste the delicious buffet brunches and Mediterranean specialities, including the classic Roman or Neapolitan pizzas cooked before your eyes in the central scenographic wood oven. To illuminate the restaurant aged brass lamps have been chosen, with “visible wiring”. The swinging models “Maglio” and “Ferrovia” underline the use of the buffet area and the entrance, while the basement cellar has a much softer atmosphere using lamps with pottery diffusers from the “Torcio” wall collection and the “Provenza” and “Saviner” ceiling collections. The attractive outdoor area, illuminated with the characteristic wall lamps from the “Sarson” line, and the well stocked wine cellar complete the inn, the favourite meeting place for the English, Scottish and Welsh supporters during the “6 Nations Rugby Tournament”; in fact, the owners, Filippo Corvisieri (scrumhalf) and Armando Libotte (centre) are rugby lovers and vintage players (the Seventies).
