Ceramic: our first love.

This year too Asolo celebrates the beautiful Cuchi Festival having as protagonist terracotta. Cuchi, traditional whistles made of terracotta will be protagonist of the ancient St. Gottardo's celebration, from the 30th April to the 5th May.
Cuco is a variant of the more famous ocarina, wind instrument born in Italy, whose invention goes back to the middle of the XIX century.
The location of the festival is the beautiful city of Asolo, in particular a fascinating little church devoted to the Saint, a few steps outside the old town centre. Exhibitions, live music and a performance showing the magic art of the realisation of cuchi will light up every evening.
In the last years we realised a huge number of cuchi and we enjoy that this tradition still continues nowadays!
Aldo Bernardi, born in this land, enjoys realising cuchi of different shape; among the last creations "The lagoon fisher" and "The Resting gondolier". Take a look to the pictures!
You never forget your first love.
